A 90 minute evening session of deep immersion, *into being yourself.* An extended duration, giving us time to fully drop in to the experience.

As we hurtle towards the end of a calendar year, here is an invitation to slow and take stock. Let’s explore where and what is it in ourselves that needs space, kindness, compassion. Working with the frequencies of breath, attention, movement, somatics and sound let’s bring in some gentle support to our mind-body-spirit systems.

We work on the premise that we are already whole and complete, we have everything within us and nothing is irrevocably broken or lacking. It is simply the connection *itself*  to our states of full resource that gets weakened or lost in times of challenge. This is a gentle practice of re-connection to our inner resources, building pathways back to balance.

The 90 minute session includes:

- \*\*Grounding movement, tapping and breathing sequences to regulate the nervous system. \*\*Simple, effective tools to take home and use in everyday life.

- \*\*Guided experiential internal state shift practice. \*\*An introduction to a beautiful process of somatically experiencing and processing stuck or held emotion.

- **Multi instrument sound bath for personal integration** in a layered soundscape using singing bowls, vocals, drum, gong and chimes. Time for deep rest, and for the experience to settle and assimilate more fully in to our conscious and unconscious systems.

This is an immersive experience where resonant frequencies are produced that permeate the space, and also the body. The vibrations have a gentle but also powerful effect on our regulating systems, shifting brain waves into calm meditative states and the nervous system into rest and repair.

The group will be small (max 8 people) in order to maintain a high quality and personal experience.

I offer accessible community sessions that are open to anyone in need of restoration and nervous system reset, and are particularly designed to be safe spaces for neurodivergent and/or highly sensitive people.

Tuesday Soundbaths at the beautiful Tile House - a dedicated Sound Healing chamber in the city. Absorb, relax and find rest to the vibrations of a multi instrument layered soundscape using Tibetan singing bowls, vocals, drum, gong, shruti and chimes.

This is an immersive experience where resonant sounds are produced that permeate the space, and also the body. The vibrations have a gentle but also powerful effect on our regulating systems, shifting brain waves into calm meditative states and the nervous system into rest and repair. 

These sessions also incorporate elements of mindful breathing and movement techniques to support the body and mind into a place of rest. 

In this state of deep relaxation it becomes more available to us to access our innate capacity of repair, healing and movement back towards balance and health. Also more available to us is the ability to release worries, anxieties, emotional and physical stresses that we might be holding onto.

There is strong evidence to suggest that this practice can be particularly supportive for people whose experience of nervous system dysregulation is more intense or extreme.  
 
I offer accessible community sessions that are open to anyone in need of restoration and nervous system reset, and are particularly designed to be safe spaces for neurodivergent and/or highly sensitive people.

Sliding scale costs offered. This is entirely at your discretion, pay as much as you can afford so that you can come to these sessions as often as you need. 

Soundbaths are usually experienced lying down on the floor with eyes closed and blankets for warmth. Chairs are available if this is more comfortable.

The space created felt so safe, non-judgemental & relaxing I didn't want it to end! I'm usually so anxious & awkward that I can find some treatments a bit intense - this was the opposite - all worries were smoothed out gently & kindly. 
My counter was reset. I rebooked straight after & am bringing a friend. Usually things this helpful & special are beyond my pocket - really, really amazing value for money!

Not all sound baths are equal! I have previously attended sound baths that have been a little 'too much' and have felt jangled from them like my nervous system and energy body has been shaken (not in a good way!). This was completely different and was a much more integrative experience. There were quieter moments in the session which allowed a dropping into stillness and an assimilation of the louder moments. I felt deeply relaxed and very much looked after and not at all jangled but profoundly calm and relaxed like a deep meditation experience. The sounds and vibrations were deeply moving on both a physical and emotional level.  Combined with the verbalisations of kindness, love and blessings it allowed me a safe space to release stuckness and to actually feel a shift in energy and the resetting of my nervous system.

I have since felt that the knot and jangled feeling in my chest has been released and my fight/flight response has been deactivated.

I attended one of Mimi’s sound baths in the beautiful setting in Preston Park. After a stressful extended period being a dementia carer to my lovely mum - I was feeling very burned out. As soon as I arrived I knew I was in the right place in order to connect to myself and feel safely anchored by Mimi to surrender to whatever needed to be processed and honoured. Highly recommend ed for perimenopausal neurodivergent folks who feel squeezed by midlife caring duties to the younger and older generations and forget about themselves. As the year draws to a close and a new one beckons, we invite you to a nourishing time of connection, movement and stillness, as we honour what has passed and welcome what is to come. Winter asks us to rest in the arms of the Earth and dream, while we wait for spring to breathe life into those, so join us at this time of transition to clear away the old and make space for the new.

This is the next step in a new working collaboration between two experienced practitioners: Jim, a kundalini yoga and meditation teacher, and Mimi, sound healing, somatic movement and integrative therapist. We share a history of over 30 years of partnership and we have learnt many ways of working together intuitively and holding space for others. Together, we encourage self-enquiry, exploring relationship to others, to self, to Being – all as steps on the path towards realising your full potential. Think of it as deep, respectful work done with humour and a light touch.

We’ll begin with a heart-opening cacao meditation — warming, grounding and gently awakening our senses to the wisdom of this season. With the spirit of cacao guiding us, we can begin to listen in to the potential beneath the surface…what’s ready to grow, bloom, emerge?

From there, we’ll move into a kundalini-inspired practice — weaving breath, movement and mantra —clearing out the cobwebs and calling in the energy we need. Moving through creative, playful Fire, flowing Water, rooted Earth. Expect some gentle challenge, deep breaths, maybe a giggle or two.
